Meet The Team

Austin MSC Enterprises
President

Austin Cornell

As President of MSC Enterprises, Austin is responsible for sales, overseeing residential remodeling projects, fostering relationships with both clients and trade partners and empowering tradespeople and employees to be the best they can be. In other words, he deals with people. A lot. Which is good, since it’s one of the things he loves most about what he does. Austin firmly believes that remodeling can be a thoroughly enjoyable process for everyone involved … and he’ll do anything to get the job done right. He self-admittedly may demand a lot from his people, but it’s always for the greater good (and a higher quality of work). And he’s never shy about handing out accolades when they’re due. When he’s not helping people create their dream homes, he lives in one, with his wife Kali and two adorable daughters. And when he’s not chasing them around (the daughters, not the wife), you’ll find him playing golf or watching the Chiefs.

Vice President

Mark Cornell

Mark is the Vice President of MSC Enterprises. But he’s also the guy who started it all (where do you think the initials MSC came from?). He spends his days keeping job sites organized, work areas clean, and attitudes positive. Mark also loves the process of being hands-on-working through issues and coming up with viable solutions that work for everyone (with a positive attitude, naturally). If there’s one thing his clients and co-workers will tell you about him, it’s that he underpromises and over-delivers. Mark is a Kansas City native and has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 40 years. Together they have three kids (one who’s now his boss!) and four grandkids who are their pride and joy. Mark also is the proud parent of a dog named Harley. In his spare time, he likes going on motorcycle trips with his friends… which should come as no surprise, given his dog’s name.

Kali at MSC Enterprises
Office Manager

Kali Cornell

Kali is our Office Manager extraordinaire. Some may say it’s because she’s a whiz at bookkeeping. Others may say it’s because she has to put up with Austin at the office and at home. Kali has the superhuman power of actually liking numbers AND organization (so it should be no surprise that everything on her desk is labeled and in the right place). When she’s not number-crunching, she’s momming to her two young daughters, obsessing over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, or relaxing with friends. Kali does like to get other people’s opinion on her work, so we’ll just say it here. It’s always perfect.

Lead Carpenter

Bob Lewis

Demo work. Framing. Clean-up. If there’s a job to be done, Bob is your guy. He loves doing something different everyday, and he’s the perfect person for any task, considering his penchant for cleaning and organizing. Bob’s a professional when it comes to business. And he’s all business when it comes to muscle cars—which you’ll find him working on every weekend with his three daughters. (So yeah, he’s the cool dad on the block.)

Project Coordinator

Cindy Wohlenhaus

As our project coordinator, Cindy works with homeowners, designers and trade partners — documenting, coordinating, communicating selections, tracking details and scheduling. Busy? Yes. But she always finds time to truly enjoy seeing the progress of beautiful spaces come to life. Cindy’s job description means she’s known as “the organized one,” — a designation the appearance of her desk might contradict. But no worries, she knows exactly where to find absolutely everything. Speaking of finding things, Cindy also prides herself on being the first person to notice a typo. (Sorry, Cindy, none in this write-up!) When she’s not at work, Cindy likes knitting, sewing, watching movies and trying new restaurants with her husband. Not to mention spending time with their brood of grown-up kids and two dogs with very human-sounding names (hello, Norman and Gladys).
